Staying at The Cape Milner
By: Sebastian Prinz   (2014-09-26)

With our new Cape Town season hotting up, we've been visiting our preferred Cape Town hotels to see what they have in store for our production clients this year. One of them is the recently renovated and upbeat Cape Milner. We asked General Manager, Jeremy Flowerday, a few questions:

The Cape Milner has recently undergone a major renovation and refurbishment. Tell us about it?

The new design and style encapsulate the modern yet luxurious feel of today’s hotels. The Glass Lounge has been designed as a place to relax and reflect during the day, as well as a meeting place at night discuss the day over a signature cocktail with friends and colleagues and enjoy a light bite from our Glass Lounge menu. The bathrooms have been designed with function first in terms of lighting and modern floor and wall tiles. The addition of colourful artworks and upholstery in the lobby add a funky and fun feel to your welcome at the Cape Milner. The stylish new deck around the salt water pool area has been enlarged and is made of an eco-friendly material - a bamboo composite with the addition of recycled plastic.

How do you meet the need for flexibility of our production clients, who might be up before sunrise or shooting on the beach past sunset?
The Cape Milner fully understands the needs of the production clientele it hosts and understands that there is no detail too small and no request to large to complete. We understand that sometimes schedules and arrangements change and we change with it in terms of our service levels, food and beverage as well as personalized attention to production clients’ needs. The business of filming all day long is a tiring one and we recognize that a warm welcome back to the hotel after a long day is but the beginning of client satisfaction. Our staff at the Hotel are friendly and eager to please and will go out of their way to make all guests happy.

Three words that describe Cape Milner?
Comfort, Care and Contemporary.
